Xu Lab

Tufts University

In 2012, I interned for the summer with Tufts University Biomedical Engineering Professor Qiaobing Xu. His lab focuses on lipidoid-based drug-delivery techniques for cancer treatments. While in the lab, I worked on a project aimed at developing a novel 3D-perfusion bioreactor that can keep liver tissue cells alive ex vivo for drug-delivery screening tests. This device, designed to mimic the standard 96-well format that is used as a standard for drug testing, would allow for high-speed testing of many different drug-delivery techniques simultaneously.
